To mitigate execution risk, the Mycelium SME Fund (MSF) will focus on:
• Established SMEs that have already achieved meaningful scale and demonstrated operational maturity
• Joint Ventures between local entrepreneurs and seasoned operators from other markets within the same value chain
This approach ensures that capital is deployed into ventures with proven capabilities or complementary partnerships, enhancing the likelihood of successful execution and scalable impact.
MSF will allocate approximately 50–70% of its capital to Bangladesh—a country that, despite being the second-largest economy in South Asia with a population exceeding 170 million, remains significantly underserved by private capital.
Remaining capital to be allocated across South Asia with priority to regional Joint ventures
